The legendary magician Merlin travels from his time to the present to inform Doctor Strange that he needs his help in a battle against an evil creature named The Forgotten. He then takes Strange with him back to his own time, where Strange meets a group of other Sorcerers Supreme that Merlin has gathered from different eras - including the future Wiccan; Kushala, the Demon Rider; gun-sword slinging Nina, the Conjurer; Sir Isaac Newton (and his assistant, a Mindless One altered by Newton into "Mindful"); and Yao, a youthful version of The Ancient One.
