Written by Dez Skinn and Paul Neary, with art by Paul Neary and coloring by Charlie Kirchoff, this 2008 IDW issue sees The Tardis—and its occupants—swallowed by a time-energy predator, triggering a shocking de-aging that takes The Doctor back to the moment the Tardis was first built. The cover, penciled and inked by Joe Corroney, captures the eerie, otherworldly menace of the beast that devours time itself.
In "Doctor Who and the Iron Legion," the Doctor awakens imprisoned by a vast robotic army from a twisted alternate reality where Rome never fell—instead, it expanded across the stars. Trapped in a world of marble and metal, where legions of mechanized soldiers march under ancient emperors' command, the Doctor must outthink a civilization built on conquest and eternal empire.
In "Timeslip," the Tardis and its occupants are swallowed by a time-energy predator, sending The Doctor hurtling back through his own incarnations—down to the very day the Tardis was first built. As the past unfolds around him, he must confront the origins of his ship and the mystery of his own creation.
