Donald Duck #114
In "Bird-Shaped Tree," Donald Duck’s simmering frustration over Daisy’s attention and the looming arrival of Ludwig Von Drake sends him sailing off with his nephews in search of adventure—only to find himself chasing a legendary sea monster known as Moby Duck. Written by Vic Lockman and brought to life with energetic art by Tony Strobl, this 1967 tale captures Donald at his most impulsive, with Steve Steere’s inks, the Western Publishing Production Shop’s colors, and Rome Siemen’s lettering adding to the classic charm. The cover by Tony Strobl and Larry Mayer perfectly captures the whimsy and escapism of the story.
