In "Stille, stille...", Daisy Duck arrives at Uncle Scrooge’s money bin to collect a two-cent debt from an overdue book on lion taming—only to discover Scrooge trapped inside with a lion he’d been attempting to tame for a quick profit. With the beast growling and the vault sealed tight, Daisy must think fast to help her cousin and the lion alike.
Mickey and Goofy face their usual string of misfortunes on the struggling Tankburg, Cinder City and Pacific railroad, but hope sparks when Grandma Duck takes over the shuttered mine at Cinder City and promises to reopen it. Just as things seem to be turning around, a new mystery strikes the tracks—something’s amiss, and the usual chaos takes a strange, suspicious turn.
