Donald Duck & Co #42/1994
In "Gourmetklubben," Donald Duck and the boys embark on a wild quest to Apál to retrieve the rare, spotted-snout eggs needed to save Skrue from being kicked out of the exclusive Andeby Middagsklubb. Written by Paul Halas, Charlie Martin, and Harald Dyrkorn, with art and inks by Vicar, this 1994 Norwegian comic delivers a deliciously absurd adventure full of culinary chaos and classic duck-sized misadventures.
When Skrue is tasked with hosting an exquisite dinner for the Andeby Dinner Club, he’s warned: fail, and he’s out. With the club’s most prized recipe demanding the rarest ingredient—small-spotted snoutbeak eggs—Donald and the boys set off to Apál to fetch them. It’s a wild, egg-filled quest that tests their courage, their taste buds, and their friendship.
When Langbein lets a burglar escape, he inadvertently derails months of investigation. Forced to take matters into his own paws, he sets out to solve the case himself—before the law can catch up.
In "Gullsopp," B-Gjengen convinces Skrue that a mysterious fungal threat—Fungus hyperglupskus—is behind a sudden surge of money-related chaos, turning the usual world of coins and bills into a surreal, spongy nightmare. With the gang’s usual mix of suspicion and absurdity, they race to uncover the truth behind the sopping, money-munching menace.
In "Kamera går!", Skrue’s massive investment in the viking film *Svein Viking* is in jeopardy when the cast and crew remain unpaid, and the director quietly prepares to vanish with the money. With tensions rising and the cameras rolling, chaos looms just behind the scenes.
