Donald Duck & Co #44/1997
When a 50,000-kroner reward is offered for proof of ghosts, Donald Duck goes all out—equipping himself with infrared cameras, ultrasonic recorders, and electromagnetic detectors to prove he’s the most rigorously prepared ghost hunter in Andeby. With Huey, Dewey, and Louie in tow, and Gladstone Gander’s curiosity piqued, the crew ventures into the notoriously haunted house of the bloodthirsty pirate Captain Kaskelott, where eerie whispers and strange shadows suggest something otherworldly might be lurking.
When Mikke Mus and Pluto take a countryside hike and spend the night at a remote farm, Pluto finds himself sleeping in an old, supposedly haunted doghouse. After accidentally knocking over a sack of cement, he becomes convinced he’s now a ghost — much to his growing confusion and Mikke’s bemusement.
Mikke Mus and Politimester Fiks are at the annual Snuteby Police Dog Show when a theft shakes the town: the historic handkerchief of Snuteby’s founder has been stolen from the town’s museum.
When the nephews—Ole, Dole, and Doffen—get a school project to build a wooden model, they enlist Donald’s help, only to accidentally unleash a chaotic, tree-chomping creature from an old, forgotten invention. Now, with the backyard turning into a forest of shredded lumber, Donald and the boys must track down the runaway machine before it levels the whole neighborhood.
