Diana wants to be a great painter. An art professor thinks she has talent and offers to give her lessons, but is critical of her work. He suggests she put down her brushes and visit museums and exhibitions to familiarize herself with their nuances. She meets a former student of the professor, although at first she doesn't realize who he is. Eventually, she decides that for a woman the most important thing is to triumph at home, caring for a husband and children.
