Edgar Rice Burroughs Korak, Son of Tarzan #31
In "The Knights of Tandika," Korak finds himself entangled in a royal trial by combat when a local queen offers her hand in marriage to the victor of a duel. With Billali by his side and Mandyama as his rival, Korak must navigate a dangerous game of honor and deception, all while protecting the captive Sue Randall from a fate she never chose. Written by Gaylord Du Bois and illustrated by Dan Spiegle, with a striking cover by George Wilson, this 1969 Western Comics adventure blends jungle intrigue and unexpected alliances in a tale of loyalty and reluctant romance.

Korak and Billali kill lions together and present their pelts to Queen Tandika, as does Mandyama. The queen grants them their choice of brides, which Korak declines until Mandyama chooses a white captive. They duel, Korak wins, and the queen weds Korak to Sue Randall. He assures her, though, that the marriage has no validity and that he had only gone through the ceremony so as to help her escape.
