Elftrek #1
"Elftrek" #1 (1986) kicks off a bizarre, offbeat journey in Dimension Graphics’ surreal universe, following Thadeus Hoolittle as he stumbles into a motel where the rules don’t apply. When the Ass-Men begin chasing Fraz—a bellhop with no idea what’s happening—chaos erupts, especially as Marvelous Mule feels a sudden headache and a shadowy figure watches from behind a slightly ajar door, whispering of control. With Mark Poe and Marcus Lusk’s twisted storytelling and Poe’s distinctive art—inked by Phil Greene—this first issue sets a surreal, unpredictable tone, full of strange encounters and looming threats. The cover, a collaborative effort by Poe and Lusk, captures the unsettling mood perfectly.

Short recap of Secret Doors (Dimension's first "publishing venture"). Thadeus Hoolittle is walking around the motel and encounters The Ass-Men. The Ass-Men start chasing Fraz and ignore Thadeus who tells them Fraz is just a bellhop. Marvelous Mule starts getting a headache and a shadowy figure peeks from behind a door that is open slightly and gloats that Mastermule will control Marvelous Mule into destroying The Ass-Men. The Ass-Men start running from Fraz when he appears with a machine gun and they retreat back the way they came until they encounter Bad Ass (the evil form of Marvelous Mule).
