Elvira, Mistress of the Dark #102
In "Who's Yo' Mama?", Elvira, Mistress of the Dark finds an abandoned baby on her doorstep and brings it to the K-WHA? TV studio, where her "Movie Macabre" show is filmed. When Roz Wyck insists on a babysitter, Elvira hires Thuggton Alfonso McKinley and Drippy—only for the baby to reveal its supernatural nature, turning them into zombies and growing to monstrous size, devouring souls. The story unfolds with a surreal showdown at the 9 Rings Under L.A. fairground, where the demon baby constructs a giant pentagram using a Tilt-A-Whirl, before Roz Wyck delivers a surprisingly effective punishment. Written by Frank Strom and illustrated by Ronn Sutton, with inks by Bruce Patterson and letters by Kevin Cunningham, this 2001 Claypool Comics issue delivers a wild, offbeat horror-comedy with a touch of the macabre. Cover by Ronn Sutton.
