Elvira, Mistress of the Dark #59
In "Ring Around the MultiVerse," Elvira, Mistress of the Dark takes a wild trip through bizarre dimensions with her unlikely allies, Gordon the Goose and Heap-Thing, dodging Skelleween’s eerie animatronic bloodhounds—curiously reminiscent of Sailor Moon and her crew. Written by Frank Strom and illustrated by Ronn Sutton, with inks by Bruce Patterson and letters by Brent Carpenter, this 1998 adventure blends surreal travel and spooky humor, all while Elvira’s mysterious ring remains the key to a final, deadly confrontation with Morgan Chase. Cover by Ronn Sutton.

Having slipped into an alternate dimension, aided by Gordon the Goose and Heap-Thing, Elvira escapes an attack from Skelleween's "advanced animatronic bloodhounds" (who are near dead-ringers for Sailor Moon and friends). Elvira, Gordon and Heap-Thing cross through a number of different dimensions before returning to Earth, where Morgan Chase is killed in one final attempt to steal Elvira's ring.
