Epix #4/1989 (60)
In "Huset Kapitel 1," Greve Udo von Koninck challenges his wife’s lover and English tutor to a duel—only for the weapon to be sabotaged by Greve Bordeu, leading to Koninck’s death. As the dam surrounding the Koninck estate breaks, chaos ensues and the fleeing inhabitants barely escape, though one thing is taken with them: Carl von Linnés book. Written by Giuseppe Ferrandino and illustrated by Massimo Rotundo, with coloring by Teresa Biagioli, the cover by Christian Rossi captures the tension of a crumbling estate and a storm-laden sky.
