“A Girl and a Revolver”

"A Girl and a Revolver" introduces a strikingly original tale set in the American Southwest of the 1880s, where an orphaned Chinese girl journeys toward Hollywood with dreams of stardom. Written by Tow Nakazaki, Jake Forbes, and Kumiko Yuasa, and illustrated by Nakazaki with inks by Jose Macasocol Jr., the story unfolds with a haunting blend of myth and frontier grit. The cover, also by Nakazaki, captures the lone figure’s quiet resolve against a vast, unforgiving landscape.
