Eternals #9
In "Manifest Destiny Conclusion," the Eternals face their greatest threat yet as the Horde descend upon Earth, forcing the ancient beings to set aside their long-standing divisions. United by necessity and guided by the mysterious Dreaming Celestial, they forge a powerful collective consciousness to defend humanity. Written by Charles Knauf and Daniel Knauf, with striking art by Eric Nguyen and bold colors by Andy Troy, this pivotal issue marks a turning point in the Eternals' story—leading them to withdraw from human affairs and embrace a new era of quiet seclusion. The cover, also by Eric Nguyen, captures the moment’s intensity with dramatic, unified figures against a cosmic backdrop.

The Horde arrive on earth and the Eternals set aside their differences to try and save the planet. They form a giant uni-mind and take the battle to the evil aliens. It is only through the intervention of the Dreaming Celestial, however, that the Horde are driven off and things return to normal. The Eternals, united once again, begin a life of seclusion as they remove themselves from the spotlight of the world of humans.
