“Alarm Clock”

"Alarm Clock" in Everybody's Comics #1 (1946) delivers a delightfully silly, slapstick tale from artist, inker, and letterer Robert Baldwin. When Roscoe spots a honey jug dangling from a tree, his clumsy attempt to grab it sets off a chain of bouncy, head-slamming mishaps — all leading to a cracked-open treat and a moment of accidental triumph.

Roscoe finds a jug of honey suspended from a tree branch. He tries to grab it but just knocks it away and it swings back and hits him. Angry, he hits the jug so hard it swings all of the way around, hitting him on the head, but also cracking open so he can eat the honey.
