As a city reels under wave after wave of aerial attacks, Tom Standish and his partner race to track down the masterminds—Ranto and Schmidt—before they can unleash total destruction.

Larry North commands Aerial Torpedo Squadron X in a daring assault on a Japanese island base, but after his planes strike the enemy fleet, he's shot down and captured by a Japanese cruiser. Overhearing plans for a poison gas defense on the East Beach, Larry fights his way to the radio room to redirect the Marine landing—then races against time to sabotage the gas apparatus before it cuts down the incoming troops. It's a wild race against both enemy guns and the very weapon meant to stop the invasion.
