Fade to Black #5

The tagline says it all — "No Chance to Survive" — as this fifth and final chapter of Jeff Mariotte's Fade to Black from Image puts a young woman in desperate flight, her face a mask of terror as an enormous, skull-faced demonic figure looms over her with a massive clawed hand. Daniele Serra's painted cover art bathes the whole scene in scorched oranges and smoldering blacks, giving the confrontation a genuinely unsettling, almost nightmarish weight. If you've been following this horror series, this is the issue you've been dreading — in the best possible way.
