Fantomen [julalbum] #1983
"Kit och småfolket" is a standout entry in the Fantomen series, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Seymour Barry, who also handled the inks. Set in the 15th century, the story follows the origins of the first Fantomen as he journeys with Columbus to America, discovers the legendary Walkers Cliff, and meets a tragic end at the hands of pirates near Bengali—before his son is taken in by pygmies and ultimately assumes the mantle of the Fantomen for the first time. The cover by Seymour Barry captures the adventure’s mythic tone, making this 1982 issue a must-have for collectors of the Semic editions.
