Three children receive repeated apparitions and instructions from the Virgin Mary. The parents, their priest, and the local mayor try to shake their stories, but the children (and the visions) persist. Other people see miraculous phenomena, such as a dancing sun, without seeing the apparition or hearing the instructions. At last the visions are accepted by the church.
