Fear #9
In "I Entered the Dimension of Doom!", a desperate convict attempts a daring escape by being dumped into the bay—only to find himself dropped into a hidden, bottomless well where a monstrous octopus lurks. Joe Maneely’s dynamic art brings the claustrophobic terror of the prison’s grim secret to life, while Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia deliver a chilling cover that captures the moment of dread. A 20-cent comic from 1972, this issue stands as a standout in Marvel’s early horror anthology run.
