The issue also includes a story involving criminals using knockout gas to rob a man named Swing of his purse and its contents.
Capt. Bruce Blackburn, an ace of military intelligence, suspects that enemy invasion forces from the Yellow Empire are targeting Alaska rather than the West Coast—but his superiors dismiss his concerns and deploy all available aircraft to California. When Blackburn reaches Alaska and uncovers a spy ring's invasion plans, he's shot and left for dead, but manages to radio headquarters with the truth. With the clock ticking before enemy bombers arrive, Blackburn devises an audacious plan: he rallies civilian pilots across Alaska to help him create an aerial trap that will devastate the first wave of attackers, buying precious time for American reinforcements to arrive.
