Felix the Cat #11
In "Bear to the Left," Felix the Cat rides his magic carpet into Dreamland, where every wish comes true—until the Official Time-Keeper arrives to remind him that no dream lasts forever. Written, drawn, and inked by Otto Messmer, this 1949 Dell classic captures Felix’s desperate attempt to stay in his perfect world, even as the rules of Dreamland begin to close in. The cover by Messmer perfectly frames the whimsy and tension of a feline caught between fantasy and fate.
