This is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. The opening story involves criminals attempting to escape police by fleeing through a window with a murdered cop's body. The second major story, "A Crime from the Tomb of Terror," follows ski enthusiasts Rod and Charles who discover uranium deposits in the frozen Canadian wilderness; Charles murders Rod to claim the fortune for himself, but is ultimately killed and frozen in an icy cave, meeting a poetic end in the desolate landscape where he committed his crime.

When racket boss Harry "Gassy" Webb is offered a fortune by a foreign agent to steal his country's secret anti-gas formula, he abandons the protection rackets that made his name and sets his sights on Professor Frederick Holt's Los Delmo laboratory. Armed with a pen containing deadly lignite gas, Webb infiltrates the compound—but his ruthless methods and a scientist's desperate defiance threaten to unravel everything between him and his escape aboard the S.S. Rossia. Webb's greed collides with the weight of what he's stolen, and the odds of him reaching international waters are far slimmer than a million dollars would suggest.

When two ski-champion friends discover a fortune in rare sable furs hidden in a frozen Canadian cave, greed takes hold—and one man's ambition turns deadly. This crime story explores how the pursuit of wealth can corrupt even the closest bonds.
