Film Fun #1545 is an anthology issue featuring three comedy strips. "A Proper Sell!" follows Laurel and Hardy as Olly attempts to start a plant-selling business, hoping to make his fortune by retailing potted petunias to the public and eventually selling to Lady Losopelf, but complications ensue when a weed-killer causes his samples to blacken and shrivel, leading to comedic misfortunes. "Frank Randle" presents the slapstick exploits of the Manchurian Films star as a tired boxing champion who receives a concentrated courage pill from his Auntie Flo, which he mistakes for medicine, leading to unexpected physical transformations and comic chaos. "Abbott & Costello" features the comedy duo helping General Braveboy locate his daughter and a lost ship, with Lou discovering a photograph showing Bud in a convict uniform from a film called "A Sing-Song In Sing-Sing," resulting in mistaken identities and elaborate schemes involving disguises and tiger-skins. Finally, "Joe E. Brown" depicts the famous comedian's misadventures catching buses and traveling, filled with physical comedy and timing gags centered on transportation and scheduling mishaps.
