Jason Rusch, Ronnie Raymond and Lorraine Reilly are combined to form Firestorm. Ronnie is in control of Firestorm as they try to stop Killer Frost's rampage. Ronnie doesn't do fare well as Killer Frost's heightened powers are too much and she starts absorbing Firestorm's energy. This weakens Firestorm as it causes Ronnie to start to fade away. Jason then takes over and reverses the changes he made to Killer Frost. Jason separates Firestorm in an attempt to stop Ronnies fading, but only he and Lorraine emerge. Killer Frost then tries a final attack but is chased away by police.
