With Ronnie Raymond in control of Firestorm, Cliff Carmichael attacks with his mental powers. Firestorm is losing, and Jason Rusch takes over as Firestorm. After gaining some distance and regrouping, Firestorm attacks Carmichaal and transmutes his psionic gear into usless junk. Ronnie then fades away leaving Jason standing alone. Jason then goes to Ronnie's father to tell him what happened.
