Ruby can’t decide whether to marry “romantic” Ted or “wonderful” Dirk. She goes on a picnic with them both; a storm capsizes their sailboat and Dirk has to choose between rescuing Ted or Ruby. He saves Ruby. Ted is apparently drowned, although his body isn’t found. Ruby weds Dirk, who’s then inducted into the Army. Ted returns, having just recovered from amnesia. Dirk catches him kissing Ruby and is angry, but when he learns Ted didn’t know they were married, he forgives them both.
