Jeff Lemire writes, draws, and colors this Image series entirely himself, and the cover of issue #1 sets a quietly unsettling tone: a young blonde girl in a red coat stands beside a hulking, dark insectoid creature against a rural backdrop of bare trees and a grain silo, the two of them side by side with an air of strange familiarity.
