Dr. Zarkov, experimenting with Mongo technology, has developed a Mole Machine, and he and Flash use it to explore. Finding an underground sea and city, they are captured by Princess Darla and taken to her father, where they are sentenced to remain forever in the city of Krenkelium and their vehicle destroyed. With the help of the princess, they defy this sentence and, in the process, destroy a major threat to the city to prove their honorable intentions. Dropping off the princess after removing the threat, they head for home.
