“The Stolen Identities!”

In "The Stolen Identities!", a rare 1976 DC adventure written by Jerry Siegel and illustrated by George Papp, two Xelthunians infiltrate Smallville by replacing Ma and Pa Kent, unaware that the real Kents are Superboy’s foster parents. When Ma Kent’s offhand comment about Superboy’s kryptonite vulnerability leads to a misfired transporter ray powered by red kryptonite, the Boy of Steel is transformed into three wildly different versions of himself—each with their own size and challenges. Cover by Ernie Chan, this fun, inventive tale sees Superboy uncover the aliens’ true mission and help them achieve it, all before the day is done.

Two Xelthunians secretly replace Ma and Pa Kent to perform a secret mission, not knowing that the Kents are Superboy's foster parents. After Ma Kent unwisely mentions Superboy's vulnerability to kryptonite, the Xelthunians power the transporter ray they plan to use to send Superboy to their planet with red kryptonite and it turns him into a fat Boy of Steel, a bullet-sized Boy of Steel, and a giant Boy of Steel. Once Superboy discovers their secret mission -- moving their sub-atomic world -- and helps them accomplish it, everyone goes home happy.
