Frank #1
"Tail Bone Connects to the Elbow Bone" kicks off Frank #1 (1994) with a raw, gritty urban tale that plunges readers into the world of Temple and Lorraine, a freak show owner and his star performer, stranded in a decaying city neighborhood. When Lorraine is threatened by a gang, a towering, stitched figure emerges from the shadows to save her—only to be subdued moments later by police with a taser. Denys Cowan’s striking art, rendered in bold lines and stark contrasts, sets a haunting tone, while the story’s unsettling premise lingers long after the final page.
