Freckles and His Friends #4

The issue contains two stories. In the main Freckles and Friends comic strip story, Freckles and his friend attempt to join a baseball team, where they must prove their athletic abilities through various tests including speed and throwing accuracy, ultimately gaining acceptance through their attitude and willingness to learn. The second story, "Hero Wants Rescue," follows Allan, a delivery boy pressured by his girlfriend Helen to become a hero so he can take her to the prom, who inadvertently causes chaos at a baseball game when he attempts to intervene during a night game, leading to the game's cancellation and his eventual rescue by Mr. Simms from the gas station.
