Frogman Comics #5
In "20-Fathom Torch Job," the daring and cunning Valkyrie takes a dark turn, capturing Airboy and Birdie with cold precision—her heart as sharp as the ace of spades. When she challenges Airboy to a battle using his own plane, the stakes rise as the Airmaidens fight to free him, only to be captured and condemned. Written by Ed Cronin and illustrated by Fred Kida with inks by Bill Quackenbush, this pulse-pounding adventure unfolds in a world where loyalty shifts like the wind and even the most ruthless can find redemption.

Valkyrie, whose heart is as black as the ace of spades, more than welcomes the chance to take on Airboy and succeeds in capturing him and Birdie. Not satisfied that she is the better pilot, the air maiden wants to battle Airboy, using his own plane against him. Some of the Airmaidens free Airboy and hide him, but they are later captured and all are sentenced to death. But Valkyrie, in love with Airboy, reforms, and she and her Airmaidens turn the tables on the Nazis and save the day.
