Hardcase Bull Malloy tries to court Nancy Dawson, but she rejects him. He rides off vowing they haven't heard the last of him. A new ranch hand, Frank Hilton, takes Nancy to the town's monthly square dance, but when Bull asks for a dance, Hilton orders her not to dance with anyone but him. Bull defends her rights by subduing Hilton, even with a gun trained on him. Her feelings towards Bull change and the couple are married.
