As he uses it to navigate school and dodge bullies, he discovers others with similar diaries—among them Yuno Gasai, a classmate whose help proves vital when a deadly serial killer enters the game. Written by Sakae Esuno, Clint Bickham, and Yuya Otake, with art by Esuno and inks by Star Print Brokers, this first issue sets a tense, high-stakes tone. The cover, penciled by Esuno and Chelsea Windlinger and inked by both, captures the eerie anticipation of a world where fate is written in code.
