G.I. Combat #11

When a hidden Red cannon called Sadie Slaughter threatens to halt the entire advance, Sgt. Beacon and Lopez volunteer to reach the deadly position known as Sniper's Roost—a mountain outcrop where every previous observer has fallen. Using smoke cover and sheer determination, the two soldiers fight their way up the treacherous slope through waves of enemy fire to reach the vantage point their artillery desperately needs. From the roost, they'll have the chance to radio back the coordinates that could finally silence the gun and break the stalemate—if they can survive the climb.

Company D draws a dangerous assignment to smoke out enemy forces dug into Cupcake Knob—walking straight into what intelligence suspects is a hidden trap. Sgt. Magee leads his men, including new replacement PFC Ed Gordon, up the open slope toward bunkers and tunnels, knowing Red guns are waiting for them to get close enough. When the enemy finally springs their ambush, the patrol must fight their way through and coordinate a flanking maneuver to turn the tables and secure the position.

When a mortar shell cripples Commander Ted Olson's M-4 tank deep in enemy territory, Corporal Gromansky's tank-retriever team faces a desperate race against time and Communist forces to bring the damaged machine back across the lines. Working under fire and against orders to destroy the tank, the crew must repair the crippled tread and fight their way to safety in Korea's hottest sector.
