# G.I. Combat #25 This issue contains three war stories. "H-Bomb Trap" follows Von Kruger's tank unit as they fire on enemy hangars and use bombers as rocket artillery to defend their base against a Red assault. "Island Assault" depicts the Commie Brigade launching an attack that American forces repel, ending with the U.S. maintaining their defensive position. "Red Paratrooper Raid" shows American soldiers at a Philippines outpost discovering a guerrilla leader's escape attempt; they capture him and prepare to ship him to Manila for trial, but red paratroopers attack the base, leading to an explosive confrontation where the Americans manage to stop the enemy advance.

The Charge of the Commie Brigade
9 pp · War

When Communist forces launch a coordinated assault on a newly built American airbase in North Africa, Combat Engineer Major Mike Givens and his radar crew in the Atlas Mountains become the first line of defense—and the first to fall. Captured and brought before a shocking enemy commander, Givens must find a way to warn the airbase before shell-spewing tanks breach its perimeter. "The Charge of the Commie Brigade" is a tense 1955 war story that pits a handful of GIs against impossible odds in a race against the clock.

H-Bomb Trap
6 pp · War

An island destined for H-bomb testing becomes a deadly trap when a U.S. Army captain and his platoon discover a hidden Communist base—complete with enemy bombers—during their pre-blast sweep. Trapped and captured before they can escape, the G.I.'s face a brutal interrogation, caught between revealing a secret that could save their enemies and staying silent while the clock ticks down to zero hour. With the blast less than two hours away, the men must find a way to survive an impossible situation.

Red Parachute Raid
7 pp · War
Island Assault
6 pp · War

When a Communist invasion fleet descends on Quemoy Island, American G.I. instructors find themselves bound by regulations—they're there to teach the Free Chinese how to use modern weapons, not fight themselves. But when enemy shells strike a U.S. ammunition ship, the situation changes, and the Americans finally have justification to join the defense alongside their newly trained allies. Together, they must hold the island against overwhelming odds using cutting-edge equipment that's still unfamiliar to most of their inexperienced troops.
