As Hawk announces the team’s suspension and the Pit’s closure, Cobra prepares a strike on the Joes’ base. Serpentor returns to Cobra Island a hero, and the Commander enlists Zartan and company to impersonate some Joes and kill Serpentor so as to keep his leadership of Cobra secure, which fails. Meanwhile, in the Pit, Storm Shadow reveals how he survived the fatal shots from the Baroness, and asks for his forgiveness, and Snake-Eyes does and gives him the key to his cabin. As Hawk returns and tells the Joes the team's suspended and the Pit's been closed pending the Springfield debacle investigation's outcome, Cobra plans an assault on their headquarters.
