Gambit secretly tracks the Courier to a meeting with the offbeat Crew ASKEW. Courier is interrupted in his presentation by the Pelican who offers to sell the Crew a gas that totally controls anyone subjected to it. The Mengo brothers burst in and set off the gas to incapacitate the Crew. Gambit takes this as his cue to swing in and take the canister to keep it out of the Mengo's hands. As Gambit evades the Mengos down Onslaught Alley, he meets Quiet Bill, a mutant that opens portals to other dimensions.
