Gambit & Bishop #5
In "Are We Ourselves," Gambit and Bishop confront the chilling truth at the Witness' mausoleum, where Cable traps Stryfe in a psychic loop of his darkest deeds. As the symbiote within Bishop—known as the Bete Noir—reveals its terrifying potential, the Witness arms Bishop with a suit meant to contain it, but even that may not be enough. Written by Scott Lobdell and Joe Pruett, with dynamic art by Georges Jeanty and Cary Nord, and a striking cover by J. H. Williams III and Mick Gray, this 2001 Marvel issue dives into identity, control, and the cost of power.

Bishop and Gambit arrive at the Witness' mausoleum to find that Cable is mentally forcing Stryfe to re-live his greatest crimes.
