Gene Autry Comics #2

Gene Autry discovers that a deceased rancher named Jim left behind hidden cash, prompting a search at the ranch where Jim hid the money in a secret passage behind a picture frame labeled "Chief Yellow Hair's" portrait. When two criminals, Hank and Artie, learn of the cash and attempt to claim it by staging a ghost hoax to scare away ranch hands, Gene exposes their scheme and has them arrested by the sheriff. Gene then encounters a woman named Nan who is being held captive by a man forcing her to sign over her property to him for a five-thousand-dollar horse race mortgage, but Gene intervenes, defeats the criminals, and rescues Nan.
