Generation Gone #5

The fifth and final issue of Aleš Kot and André Lima Araújo's Generation Gone closes out this Image series with a cover that crackles with raw, unhinged energy — a young man bursts forward, mouth open in a furious scream, debris and machinery exploding outward around him as a profanity-laced speech bubble makes his feelings unmistakably clear. Araújo's linework turns the chaos into something almost elegant, the cool blue palette of the figure clashing beautifully against the warm golden burst behind him. It's a fittingly intense send-off image for one of 2017's more provocative superhero stories.
