“Schism Part 1”

In "Schism Part 1," Hope's team ventures into the Mutant History Museum, where Idie's growing sensitivity to the exhibits makes her especially vulnerable to influence. When the Hellfire Club attacks, Idie acts on what she believes are the X-Men's ideals—leading to a shocking moment that forces Laurie to confront Hope directly about the subtle ways her presence has been reshaping the team. Written by Kieron Gillen and illustrated by Tim Seeley, with colors by Val Staples and SotoColor, the issue's cover by Rodin Esquejo captures the tension of a moment that will define their path forward.

While the X-Men battle Sentinels worldwide, Hope's team visits the Mutant History Museum. Idie finds herself very impressionable due to the exhibits and when the Hellfire Club break into the museum and attack the X-Men, Idie uses her powers to kill the Club agents, believing that by doing so she's obeying the X-Men's principles.
