Generation X #6
In "Notes from the Underground," the Gen X team plunges into the Morlock tunnels to rescue Emma, captured by Gene Nation agents Hemingway and Marrow and restrained by the power-dampening Leech. As Artie leads Jubilee, Skin, and Synch into the underground lair, Leech's influence begins to warp their abilities, testing their resolve. With Emma reclaiming her powers and turning the tide, the young mutants must fight their way out—just as Paige's flirtation with Chamber triggers an explosive mishap in the dorm. Written by Scott Lobdell and illustrated with sharp, kinetic energy by Chris Bachalo, with inks by Mark Buckingham and colors by Steve Buccellato and Electric Crayon, this 1995 issue delivers tense action and character moments in a story that’s as much about growing pains as it is about survival. The cover by Bachalo and Buckingham captures the underground chaos with striking detail.
