In the middle of a stunt, Ghost Rider is pulled into the sanctum sanctorum of Dr. Strange where he is attacked. Battling the good Doctor through a dimension of demons, GR does not realize that he is being manipulated by the dread Dormammu. Getting the spirit of vengeance good and mad at the creature who he thinks is Dr. Strange, Dormammu opens a portal into the real world where GR confronts the real Strange.
