Girl Confessions #14
In "We Both Loved Philip," two childhood friends, Kitty and her sister Pam, find their bond tested by a shared secret: both love Philip. When Pam confesses her feelings, Kitty steps back, honoring her sister’s heart—only to be drawn back when tragedy strikes. A storm wrecks Pam and Philip’s car, and in the aftermath, Philip calls out for Kitty, leaving her to wonder if love has found its true course. Art by Ogden Whitney brings quiet emotional weight to this poignant tale, while Al Hartley’s cover captures the storm’s intensity. A 10-cent comic from 1952, this issue stands as a touching exploration of love, sacrifice, and fate.
