Godzilla: War for Humanity #[nn]

This 2024 IDW release puts the kaiju chaos front and center, with Godzilla snarling in the middle of a jam-packed cover flanked by a towering, tentacle-clawed monster above and a smaller, wide-eyed creature to the right — all rendered in a gloriously vivid, neon-soaked palette by Andrew MacLean and Jake Smith. A cast of five very human-looking characters crowds the foreground, sweating and steeling themselves against the mayhem looming behind them, which gives the whole image a wonderfully grounded "regular people vs. giant monsters" energy. Godzilla: War for Humanity looks like a wild, affectionate love letter to classic kaiju storytelling, and this collection makes a compelling case for itself on cover alone.
