“The Big Frame-Up”

In "The Big Frame-Up," Tubby’s clever scheme to win a share of chocolate eggs backfires spectacularly when his bandaged form spooks Gloria and Lulu into believing he’s a ghost. With the girls convinced that roosters can banish spirits, they bring home a farmyard rooster—only to discover it’s actually a hen. Written by John Stanley and illustrated by Irving Tripp, this playful 1975 tale from Golden Comics Digest #46 delivers a lighthearted mix of mischief and mistaken identity, with Tripp’s expressive art bringing the absurd situation to life.
