Goofy Comics #40
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeGoofy Gander participates in a hot-air balloon race and discovers that a balloon he had previously lost has mysteriously returned. After his balloon accidentally bursts mid-race, Goofy and his companions land in a forest and encounter mishaps while attempting to bend pretzels at a pretzel-bending department as a cheerful activity. Later, Goofy attempts to sell a bicycle to an elderly man, leading to comedic chaos when he tries to demonstrate it, ultimately crashing through a hardware store while struggling to maintain balance on the two-wheeled vehicle.
Goofy dreams of entering the big balloon race at the county fair, but when Wally Wolf and Uncle Pigly refuse to let him join their team, he's determined to prove them wrong by flying his own balloon to victory. What starts as a chaotic scramble turns into an unexpectedly wild ride when accident and circumstance send our feathered friend soaring toward the finish line in the most unlikely way imaginable.
Goofy Gander is determined to prove he's not the birdbrain everyone thinks he is—he lands a job at the Jolly Bakers and vows to show his intelligence and cheerfulness at work. But as Cheery Gander, his well-meaning efforts to be a model employee clash spectacularly with his natural talent for mishap, from burning cream puffs to accidentally bending himself into a pretzel. Watch as this eager gander discovers that sometimes you can't fight your own nature, no matter how hard you try.
Wally Wolf finds himself broke and evicted, but spots an opportunity when he discovers several shopkeepers desperate to move their inventory—he'll bring them customers in exchange for a cut. His scheme: talk the good-natured Goofy into buying a ramshackle two-wheeled contraption, then sweet-talk him into purchasing add-ons from every store in town to make it roadworthy. What starts as easy money for Wally becomes a hilarious game of one-upmanship when a museum curator expresses interest in the bizarre vehicle, setting off a chain of unexpected twists that neither schemer quite saw coming.
