“Soft Targets Part Three of Four”

In "Soft Targets Part Three of Four," the Gotham Central detectives press forward in their hunt for the Joker, following a trail to the gun dealer he used to buy a rifle. When the acting Mayor orders them to arrest a group of low-level henchmen known as the Killer Clowns—though they know nothing—the case takes a sudden turn when Lt. Probson steps outside for a smoke and the Joker walks up to turn himself in. Written by Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka, with art by Michael Lark and inks by Stefano Gaudiano, this tense installment blends procedural detail with the ever-present threat of chaos, all captured in a cover by Michael Lark.

The Gotham Central Detectives continue to look for clues to the location of the Joker. They track down the gun dealer he bought the rifle from. The acting Mayor makes them arrest a group of losers called the Killer Clowns (a street gang, low level Joker henchmen) who know nothing. While Lt. Probson is on a smokebreak outside the Joker walks up and gets himself arrested.
